Welcome to 2nd grade math!
In this course, students will learn different strategies and methods to use for multiplying one-digit numbers. Some of the strategies and methods students will learn are arrays, repeated addition, skip counting, and equal groups. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply these strategies to solve world problems involving multiplication. Each strategy and method that students will learn appeal to all different types of learners. This course will utilize many different manipulatives and visuals throughout. In addition, every student will be learning all the strategies and methods of multiplication, but it is up to the student to decide which strategy works best for him or her.
