COURSE DESCRIPTION
Spanish 2 for high school student
The Spanish 2 course is meant to jump-start learning. In some cases, students may have studied some Spanish previously and may be familiar with this material. The vocabulary in this course is high frequency, high usage. Most importantly, students will develop communication skills in Spanish by utilizing a variety of listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. And they will provide a better understanding and appreciation of the distinct CULTURE of Spanish speaking countries through cultural readings, recordings, video clips, self-assessment activities and creative projects.
This course is divided into four modules that can be completed in one academic year. Each module introduces a realistic number of new vocabulary words, grammar sequence has been spread over four modules. As result, students have adequate time throughout the course to focus on communication, culture, and skill development, and to master the vocabulary and grammar concepts to which they are introduced.
