Ramp Up to Algebra 1
“Ramp Up to Algebra 1” is a course designed for students aiming to transition into the accelerated math track in eighth grade, even if they were not originally placed in that pathway. This course will explore topics that students will need to be successful in an honors Algebra 1 course. We will expand on previously learned content, strengthening students’ skills and exploring more real-world application problems. This course offers a variety of tools for students to understand the essential pre – algebra skills, in order to excel in Algebra 1. Ramp Up to Algebra 1 is built on collaboration, critical thinking and exploration, where students will build on their prior knowledge daily. Through engaging, interactive online lessons, students will work at their own pace while actively engaging with their peers. They’ll gain the tools necessary to master essential pre-algebra skills and build a strong foundation for success in Algebra 1.
