Entrepreneurial Problem-Solving for International
Sustainable Development (EPS-for-ISD) is a semester-length course designed for
undergraduate students who wish to learn how entrepreneurs create novel solutions to problems in
ways that surprise and delight their customers, changing behaviors by disrupting staid methods and
systems. EPS-for-ISD is an online course
in which students will collaborate in teams assembled across international
lines to attempt to create innovative solutions that solve problems associated
with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The course will be conducted in English, and
so a working proficiency in the English language is required. No prior business experience, skills, or
knowledge is required. The course will
be a blended course, featuring one synchronous class session per week of one
hour and fifty minutes, supplemented by asynchronous activity. Students will collaborate with international
students throughout the course, with each student being responsible to their
team members and the class as a whole for certain contributions and
presence.
